ZAMBOANGA CITY – Philippine authorities have recaptured an American citizen in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines accused of selling illegal drugs and who escaped from a hospital in Quezon City in April.
The National Bureau of Investigation said Jun No was tracked down in Zamboanga after hiding out in Manila and Cebu since his daring escape from the East Avenue Medical Center. The foreigner was arrested Thursday inside an Internet shop by a composite group of NBI and anti-narcotics agents, and soldiers and policemen.
No was first arrested for selling “ecstasy” and was brought to the hospital after suffering from an acute appendicitis, but escaped while his guards were allegedly sleeping.
The American of Korean descent was brought to Manila after his arrest in the village called Tetuan. (Mindanao Examiner)
