Gang leader, cop killed in clash in Navotas City

MANILA – Police said a leader of of a gang involved in the spate of killings was shot dead Saturday in a shootout with cops in Navotas City.

The clash also left one policeman dead and another wounded. The cops were serving a warrant for the arrest of Raymond Mangali, but the gang leader opened fire on the officers and sparking a firefight.

Mangali was killed on the spot. Police said Mangali is included in the list of most wanted criminals in Metro Manila and was said to be behind many cases of killings in Navotas and nearby areas. (Mindanao Examiner)
