ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – Philippine police arrested a German national, who is facing theft charges in Zamboanga del Norte province in western Mindanao.
Police said the 60-year old Poker Haugk was arrested in the village of Bubungan in Labason town on December 12.
It said the widower is detained at the municipal police station. No other details were released by the police on the background of Haugk, except that he is residing in the village.
It was unknown whether the German Embassy had been informed about the arrest of its national. (Mindanao Examiner)
