DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Aug. 20, 2013) – Police arrested a septuagenarian who attacked a teenager in Zamboanga del Norte province in southern Philippines.
Police said the 72-year old Marcelo Aquino approached and punched the victim for no apparent reason while the teenager was painting a basketball court with his friends in the village of Tinuyop in Leon Postigo town.
The victim said he was the old man kicked a bucket of paint and then attacked him in front of the others without warning.
The family of the teenager reported the attack to the police and Aquino was arrested and detained at the local jail. There was no immediate statement from the family of the old man or whether the victim would press charges against his attacker. (Mindanao Examiner)
