
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 3, 2014) – Police are investigating a grenade attack on a house in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines.
Police said the blast occurred in the house of Jul Asiri Lacbao, 63, in the village of Talon-Talon after the grenade was tossed by an unidentified assailant.
There was no report of casualties and the explosion left minor damages on the compound of the house.
“No one was hurt in the blast except for minor damages on the structure of the house. Post blast examination is being conducted by Zamboanga City Police bomb squad while further investigation is being in order to identify the suspect and motive behind the incident,” said Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
