ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 4, 2014) – A group of armed men attacked a house and wounded three people in Zamboanga del Norte’s Siocon town, police said Thursday.
Police said the attack wounded a 26-year old woman, Jelma Sali, and her boyfriend, Jije Lumonah, 33, still missing while house owner, Ricardo Gaspar, was shot several times by gunmen who peppered his house with automatic gunfire.
Sali said found by villagers with a gunshot wound in her leg after escaping the attack which occurred recently in the remote village of Cabral.
The motive of the attack is unknown, but police said it has launched an investigation into the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
