Gun ban sa ARMM registration, kasado na!

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 30, 2012) – Handa na umano ang mga awtoridad sa pagpapatupad ng gun ban sa buong Muslim Autonomous Region sa Mindanao matapos itong aprubahan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) dahil sa general registrations doon.

Magsisimula ang gun ban sa Hulyo 1 at matatapos sa katapusan ng buwan, ayon kay Chief Supt. Manuel Barcena, ang hepe ng directorate for Integrated Police Operations, sa panayam ng Mindanao Examiner.

Sa Hulyo 9 hanggang Hulyo 18 ang general regis­tration ng mga botante sa Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao at Lanao.

Sinabi ni Barcena sa Abante na suspendido ang lahat ng mga “permit to carry firearm outside residence” ng mga sibilyan at kabilang dito ang mga negosyante, sa kautusan na rin ni Police Director Gene­ral Nicanor Bartolome.

Tanging mga unipormadong sundalo at pulis lamang, gayun rin ang may mga exemptions, ang maaaring magdala ng baril, ayon sa opisyal. “Pero kailangan ay in proper uniform ang mga awtoridad natin kung magdadala sila ng baril sa ARMM areas or may mission sila,” sabi pa ni Barcena. (Mindanao Examiner)
