Gun enthusiasts vie for New Zealand championship shoot

TACURONG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 14, 2012) – Some 1,000 gun enthusiasts attended the recently concluded shooting competition held in Tacurong City in the southern Philippines.

Among those who attended the event were from Australia and other countries who are vying for the much-anticipated Australasia International Practical Shooting Confederation Handgun Championship in New Zealand.

Members of the Cotabato City Pistol and Rifle Association also joined the Philippine Practical Shooting Association President Cup Level III for the 4th Qualifier Match held at the Pax Wali shooting range in the village of Kalandagan.

Those who would qualify are eligible to join the Philippine team which would represent the country to the Australasia International Practical Shooting Confederation Handgun Championship. (Mark Navales)
