PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 28, 2013) – Two gunmen killed a security guard in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said Helarion Ansay was walking along Aquino Street at Purok Carnation in the village of Gatas when the gunmen attacked him. Ansay was shot several times in the body.
Investigators recovered three bullet casings fired from a .45-caliber pistol. The motive of the killing is still unknown.
Gun attacks and killings are not uncommon in Pagadian City where hired killers are actively operating and many of the murder cases remain unsolved. (Mindanao Examiner)
