
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 2, 2013) – Motorcycle gunmen killed a policeman in an attack Sunday evening in Zamboanga city in southern Philippines, authorities said.
It said SPO1 Rowan Lim, assigned with the Sangali village police station, was shot several times in the village of Tumaga. The attackers escaped after the shooting.
Police said Lim was rushed to hospital where he died. Forensic investigators recovered two bullet casings fired from a .45-caliber pistol. The motive of the attack is still unknown.
Killings and gun attacks are not uncommon in Zamboanga City where dozens had been murdered since early this year. (Mindanao Examiner)
