
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 25, 2013) – Unidentified gunmen strafed houses in the Zamboanga del Sur town of Labangan in southern Philippines, but police said there were no casualties in the attacks.
Police said the gunmen attacked the houses of Hassan Pagayao, Musa Usman, Benzar Omar and Zainodin Pagayao in the village of Old Labangan. The gunmen fled after the attacks.
Policemen led by Senior Inspector Lee Eric Humpa recovered at least 43 bullet casings of various weapons, including a 40mm mortar in the village.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but police said investigators were looking into clan war and family feud as motive for the attacks. (Mindanao Examiner)
