North Cotabato drug suspect, tigok sa labanan

MLANG, North Cotabato – Bumulagta ang isang drug suspect na umano’y high value target matapos itong makipag-barilan sa pulisya na magsisilbi sana ng arrest warrant sa kanya nitong Lunes sa Purok-Uno sa Barangay Dugong dito.

Kinilala ang nasawi na si Lawrence Esteban at residente ng nasabing lugar. Iginiit naman ng misis ni Esteban, na hindi nanlaban ang mister. Pero ayon sa pulisya, nanlaban umano si Esteban kung kaya’t napatay ito.

Ang suspek ay nagtamo ng maraming tama ng bala sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng kanyang katawan na naging dahilan ng agarang kamatayan nito.

Nakuha sa bahay ng suspek ang pitong sachet ng shabu at isang .38-caliber revolver. Kabilang sa mga sinalakay din ng owtoridad ang bahay ni Arnold Simon, sa Purok-Uno, Barangay Dugong at nakuha ang illegal drugs at drug paraphernalia.

Bigong maaresto si Simon dahil wala siya sa kanyang bahay ng isilbi ang search warrant napirmado ng isang lokal na korte. (Rhoderick Beñez)
