Hired killers kalat sa Zambo!

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 3, 2012) – Patuloy ang paghahanap ng pulisya dito sa mga hinihinalang gun-for-hire na tumira sa isang vice mayoralty candidate ng Basilan province.

Bagama’t nakaligtas sa tiyak na kamatayan ay nasugatan naman sa braso si Farouk Alfad matapos na ratratin ng mga armado ang kotse nito sa Barangay Canelar habang pauwi sa kanilang bahay mula sa gym.

Butas-butas ang sasakyan ni Alfad at ayon sa pulisya ay walong basyo ng .45-pistola ang nabawi sa crime scene. Hindi naman nakilala ni Alfad ang mga tumira sa kanya dahil nabigla umano ito sa pangyayari.

Si Alfad ay tumatakbo sa bayan ng Tabuan Lasa at posibleng may kinalaman umano ang kanyang kandidatura sa bigong pagpatay. Walang umako sa krimen, ngunit malaki ang hinala na mga gun-for-hire ang nagtangka sa kanyang buhay, ani Alfad.

“Wala naman ibang motibo kundi ang pulitika,” ani Alfad.

Talamak ang patayan sa Zamboanga City at umabot na ito sa 135 mula pa nitong Enero at karamihan sa mga kaso ay isinisisi sa mga hired killers.

Kamakalawa lamang ay pinasok ng mga armado ang bahay ni electronic technician Rey Reyes sa Baranagay Tumaga at pinatay ito. (Mindanao Examiner)
