MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 16, 2012) – An elderly Hong Kong tourist was rushed to hospital after she was hit on the head with a piece of a metal sheet that fell off from the roof of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.

The woman was walking at the Terminal 2 when the accident occurred. She was taken to the St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Authorities did not release the identity of the foreigner, but said she was okay.

The NAIA has been several times cited by travellers and blogs and other travel websites as one of the worst airports in the world.

The website called “Sleeping in Airports” called the NAIA as the worst airport in Asia for this year, alongside with airports in India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Vietnam. (Mindanao Examiner)
