ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 15, 2011) – Peace. Hope. Joy – few yet strong visions lead to the continuity as the Peace Advocates Zamboanga(PAZ) – Youth Solidarity for Peace (YSP) once again opened the door for the “I Love Peace” volunteer program – welcoming new faces, new thoughts and new volunteers who are willing to journey to a culture of peace for the forthcoming Mindanao Week of Peace celebration.
Now on its 3rd year, the I Love Peace volunteer Program had persist its aim to campaign for volunteers through text messages, Facebook posts and simply convincing the youth through casual talks. It is also designed to be of help in motivating and moving youth’s unfading participation to the promotion of peace. Youth who are eager to play a part in the celebration are asked to have their volunteer form from PAZ thru YSP and are requested to visit the official Facebook page of the volunteer program, “I Love Peace”.
The youth as the most vocal and responsive ones to the volunteer program cited their willingness to join the bigger group in the celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace.
Week of Peace is annually celebrated by the entire Mindanao. Various activities on their concrete inclusion for the week-long celebration will be spearheaded by PAZ with its young volunteers by way of their notable participation. Tagged with the theme “Common Word Between Us and You, Love of God, Love of Neighbor”, Mindanao Week of Peace will be celebrated on November 24 to December 1.
The PAZ and YSP filled with the spirit of their visions focus to make another prominent journey for the 2011 volunteers of this year; however, they are looking forward for the active involvement of the people of Zamboanga especially the youth in peace advocacy programs as they are expected to be responsible in leading the future before them.
