  • For over three decades, Schneider Electric has advanced energy and automation in the Philippines through power stability, industry digitalization, and smart solutions.
  • The company celebrated this 30-year journey with Innovation Day Philippines 2025, a showcase of next-gen technologies for businesses’ energy efficiency, reliability, and resilience.
  • The event brought together government and industry leaders through panel discussions and expert learning sessions to explore how digital transformation can shape the country’s energy future.

MANILA – Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and industrial automation, celebrated its 30th year in the country with Innovation Day Philippines 2025 on May 20 at Shangri-La The Fort, Taguig. The event showcased how the company is helping accelerate the country’s net-zero goals across buildings, data centers, and utilities by merging energy management and automation through intelligent software, empowering industries with real-time insights and data-driven decisions for decarbonization.

As part of its vision for a sustainable future, Schneider Electric underscored the need for reliable, cybersecure supply chains. In the Philippines, 42% of businesses already prioritize supply chain sustainability—boosting competitiveness and opening doors to high-value manufacturing. This urgency grows with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digitalization. The company pointed out that AI alone could drive a 4.2x surge in data center energy use by 2028, with a single ChatGPT query consuming 10x more power than a Google search. With 96% of local businesses going digital, energy volatility poses a growing risk—making smart, efficient infrastructure more critical in the Philippines than ever.

“Over 30 years, Schneider Electric in the Philippines has become a global hub for innovation and supply. Innovation Day Philippines 2025 marks this progress and showcases how digital, sustainable technologies can shape our energy future,” added Catane.

The company emphasized that cross-sector partnerships will be critical to building a more secure, sustainable energy future. By aligning efforts, like-minded organizations from public and private sectors help the Philippines establish foundations for continued growth over the next 30 years and beyond.

Driving Schneider Electric Philippines’ innovation is a people-centric strategy anchored on a 3,000-strong workforce serving over 1,000 clients nationwide. Nearly half of its talent pool comprises women in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and leadership roles—reflecting the company’s commitment to inclusive growth and its belief that long-term innovation is built from within.

During Innovation Day Philippines 2025, Carlos Leviste, Strategy and Marketing Director of Schneider Electric Philippines, highlighted that the company’s 24/7 Global Hub in the country supports finance, customer care, technical, sales, and digital operations across all Schneider Electric markets worldwide. “Our Philippine operations are strengthened by our 24/7 Global Hub, a Knowledge Process Outsourcing center supporting finance, customer care, technical, sales, and digital operations across all Schneider Electric markets, including North America and East Asia. The Philippines is one of the few locations with territory-wide operations covering every market where Schneider Electric operates,” said Carlos Leviste, Strategy and Marketing Director of Schneider Electric Philippines.

With the theme Innovate for IMPACT, Innovation Day Philippines 2025 highlighted Schneider Electric’s commitment to the climate, resources, equality, future generations, and communities by leading discussions on the future of industries. The event brought together government leaders, business decision-makers, and industry experts—including Senator Win Gatchalian, Energy Regulatory Commission Chairperson Monalisa Dimalanta, Securities and Exchange Commissioner McJill Bryant Fernandez, Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Tereso Panga, and Climate Change Commission Assistant Secretary / Deputy Executive Director Atty. Romell Antonio Cuenca— to explore how digital transformation supports more resilient and efficient operations. The opening discussions focused on the role of innovation in energy security, regulatory development, and transparency in sustainable finance.

The event also hosted a panel of industry leaders from data centers, utilities, and real estate on Addressing Energy Challenges: Innovative Solutions for a Resilient Future and highlighted how smart building technologies and early design planning can enhance energy efficiency. They emphasized the need for reliable power and strong public-private collaboration to drive energy resilience.

Through expert learning sessions, Schneider Electric also demonstrated its focus on digital transformation across key industries—data centers, smart buildings, and critical utilities. Industry experts from Schneider Electric Global and East Asia, along with key players in critical industries, discussed the latest innovations in workplace efficiency, energy management, AI solutions for cybersecurity, and AI-powered liquid cooling to optimize energy use and reduce environmental impact.

The Innovation Hub at the event also showcased Schneider Electric’s smart solutions for power and grid, buildings, and data centers—including EcoStruxure systems, Building Management System (BMS) panels, Motor Control Center (MCC) panels, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) panels, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and advanced cooling equipment. These innovations demonstrate how digitalization in energy management—powered by smart automation and AI-driven tools—helps businesses optimize operations and reduce emissions. This enables faster, data-informed decisions, even in complex environments.

Beyond technology, Schneider Electric is shaping a future-ready Filipino workforce through partnerships that promote gender inclusion, STEM education, and skills development. Through its Youth Education and Entrepreneurship Program, the company has partnered with institutions such as Don Bosco, Sisters of Mary, Dualtech, and Batangas State University to equip students with modern electrical skills. It has also collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Science High School System to bring advanced technology into classrooms and foster innovation.

Schneider Electric was named the world’s most sustainable company by Time Magazine and Statista in 2024, and by Corporate Knights again in 2025. Also recognized as the Most Gender-Inclusive Workplace in the Philippines (UN WEPs), the company embeds sustainability in its operations, culture, and talent strategy—targeting net-zero emissions across its value chain by 2050.
