PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 3, 2013) – Motorcycle gunmen opened fire on a branch of hamburger chain Jollibee in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said.
Police said the attack damaged the windows of the restaurant which is at Pajares Avenue in Santiago District. At least four shots were fired on the restaurant and that investigators recovered shells of .45-caliber pistol in the area.
No individual claimed responsibility for the attack and police said it is investigating the drive-by shooting.
There was no statement from the restaurant owner, Jollibee Foods Inc. about the shooting, but gun attacks are not uncommon in Pagadian. (Mindanao Examiner)
