SULU – Governor Totoh Tan has released financial assistance for victims of fire that razed at least 8 houses in the capital town of Jolo.

Tan personally handed P30,000 for each families that had been displaced by the fire in the village of Asturias.

Those who received financial assistance thanked Tan for his generosity and care.

Tan also appealed to residents to take extra careful and do not leave burning candles or appliances unattended as this could start a fire.

In February, a three-year old boy died in a fire that hit the same village and burned 9 houses. (Mindanao Examiner)
