Jordan may negosasyon na sa Abu Sayyaf?

SULU (Mindanao Examiner / June 30, 2012) – Maugong ang balita sa lalawigan ng Sulu na may nagaganap na umanong negosasyon upang makalabas ang Al-Arabiya news crew mula sa kampo ng Abu Sayyaf na kung saan ay may ginagawa umanong documentary ang mga mga ito.

Sina Baker Atyani, ang bureau chief sa Pakistan ng Arabic television news channel, Al-Arabiya, at dalawang Pinoy crew nito, ay nagtungo sa Sulu nuong June 11 upang sikretong gumawa ng documentary ukol sa Abu Sayyaf na konektado sa al-Qaeda at Jemaah Islamiya.

Maging si Sulu Gov. Sakur Tan ay nagsabing may mga kumakalat na ulat na may negosasyon ang Jordanian government sa Abu Sayyaf.

“Siguro may mga na-contact ang embassy nila at tayo naman ay walang contact doon sa (Jordanian) embassy,” ani Tan.

Posible rin umanong sa Sabah ilabas si Atyani upang hindi na ito mahawakan ng mga awtoridad sa Sulu. Wala naman balita sa dalawang Pinoy na kasamahan ni Atyani na sina Rolando Letrero at Ramelito Vela na inupahan lamang ng dayuhan mula sa isang production company sa Maynila.

Sinabi naman ni Jainab Abdulmajid, ang spokeswoman ng Sulu provincial government ukol sa kaso ni Atyani, na nanatiling nasa kampo ng Abu Sayyaf ang tatlo at patuloy sa kanilang documentary.

Itinanggi rin nito na bihag ang tatlo ng Abu Sayyaf. “Atyani is not a hostage and in fact there is no indication that any crime or complaint is evident. The only established fact is that he is freely moving around with the ASG. The AFP also received similar reports from the ground,” wika pa ni Abdulmajid. (Mindanao Examiner)
