Kampo ng Sayyaf nabihag sa Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Nabihag ng mga sundalo ngayon Lunes ang isang kampo ng Abu Sayyaf matapos ng umaatikabong sagupaan sa bayan ng Patikul sa lalawigan ng Sulu.
Isang sundalo ang kumpirmadong patay at 4 na iba pa ang sugatan sa labanan na nagsimula kamakalawa at hinihinalang marami ang nalagas sa panig ng Abu Sayyaf, ayon kayMarine Capt. Maria Rowena Muyuela, ang tagapagsalita ng Western Mindanao Command.
Sinabi nito sa Mindanao Examiner na sari-saring kagamitan ang natagpuan sa naturang kampo sa Barangay Langhub at kabilang sa mga ito ay pawang mga basyo ng bala mula sa recoiless rifle, grenade launchers at iba, kabilang ang ilang pirasong solar panels at mga backpacks. 
May 42 mga kubol sa loob ng kampo at maari umanong magkasya doon ang mahigit sa 100 katao.
Patuloy pa rin ang operasyon kontra Abu Sayyaf sa Patikul. “The operation (against the Abu Sayyaf) is on-going and troops were ordered to neutralize members of the terror group,” pahayag pa ni Muyuela.
Isinasabit ng militar at pulisya ang Abu Sayyaf sa karahasan at kidnappings for ransom sa Mindanao. (Mindanao Examiner)
