Kidapawan police arrest 3 in drug sting

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Police have arrested a suspected​ drug dealer and two others during a buy-bust operation here on Tuesday afternoon.

Police identified the drug dealer as Abdullah Mundas Pandita alias Tong, 44, who was arrested at Purok Rambutan along with tricycle driver Ervin Celiz alias Tata, 31; and a man who was only identified as Samsudin, 24, a farmer.

Seized from Pandita were suspected shabu and a .45-caliber pistol with 8 bullets, including a digital weighing scale and other paraphernalia and the marked money used by the police in the drug sting opeation.

Chief Inspector John Miridel Calinga said the confiscated items were turned-over to the police crime laboratory for examination.

He said the suspects are facing criminal charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10591 also known as  the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Law of 2013. (Moh Saaduddin)
