PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 28, 2013) – A man was shot dead in an attack Sunday by motorcycle gunmen in Pagadian City in Zamboanga  del Sur in southern Philippines, police said.

Police said Nelson Escario was heading home on his motorcycle when the two men riding tandem in another motorcycle tailed him and then shot him several times in the village of Balintawak.

Local police chief Julius Muñez has ordered an investigation into the latest killing. Gun attacks are not uncommon in Pagadian City where killings occurred almost every day. Most of the killings were perpetrated by hired killers. (Mindanao Examiner)
