Lanao Sur, muling niyanig ng aftershock

COTABATO CITY – Ginising ng malakas na lindol kaninang madaling araw ang bayan ng Wao sa Lanao del Sur province sa Muslim autonomous region.

Walang naiulat na sugatan o nasawi sa magnitude 5.2 na lindol, ngunit naramdaman rin ito sa iba pang bahagi ng lalawigan. Sa pahayag ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs) ay tectonic o galaw ng dalawang bahagi ng lupa ang dahilan nito.

Halos 3 kilometro lamang ang lalim ng pinagmulan ng lindol. Noong nakaraang lingo ay niyanig rin ng magnitude 6 at maraming aftershocks ang naturang bayan at inaasahan ang mga aftershocks sa mga susunod na araw tulad ng naganap kahapon.

Naglagay na rin ang Philvocs ng kinetic seismograph machine sa lalawigan upang makatulong sa monitoring ng ahensya. Mahigit sa 2000 katao ang apektado ng sunod-sunod na lindol doon.

Tinututukan na rin ng ARMM Gov. Mujiv Hataman ang sitwasyon sa lugar upang masigurong may sapat na tulong ang mga apektado ng lindol. (Mindanao Examiner)
