ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR (Mindanao Examiner / May 2, 2013) – An army sentinel was killed and another wounded following a lightning strike on a military post in Tungawan town in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said.
Police said Pfc. Jaymar Tumarong was killed while Pfc. Jemar Destrajo has been rushed to the hospital in the town of Ipil for medical treatment.
Destrajo suffered burns in the body.
It said the duo, members of the 6th Special Forces Battalion, was guarding their post when lightning hit them. (Mindanao Examiner)
