TACURONG CITY – Police were hunting down a 30-year old man who was the suspect in the Monday killing of her mother and a nephew in Tacurong City in southern Philippines.
Police implicated Ernesto Escolano, Jr., to the twin murders; although the investigation is still going on to determine the motive of the killings.
Mary Ann Tomas, the woman’s daughter, found traces of blood in their house and reported the matter to the police. The blood trail policemen to the bodies of Rosemary Escolano, 63; and Sanday Raiven Escolona, 9, several blocks away from their house in the village of San Jose.
Escolano, who is a known drug addict in the area, was nowhere to be found and could be behind the killings, according to the police. (Rhoderick Beñez)
