SULU – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) in Sulu, headed by Engr. Alfie U. Iribani, joined representatives from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Central Office, BFAR Region IX, and INCA in a courtesy visit to Governor Abdusakur M. Tan today at the Sulu Provincial Capitol.
The visit was made in line with the planned inspection of the seaweed farm inputs recently delivered to the MAFAR Fisheries Compound. Following the meeting, the provincial government reaffirmed its commitment to support the initiative through a mutual agreement.
Governor Sakur Tan commended the agencies for their efforts in uplifting seaweed farming communities and providing equitable resources to support more efficient farming practices. He also expressed hope for more opportunities that will improve the lives of seaweed farmers in Sulu.
This visit marks an important step toward realizing a progressive and well-developed Sulu through strengthened collaboration and sustainable livelihood support. (Governor of Sulu Fb)
