Mag-asawang rebel returnees, tinodas!

NORTH COTABATO – Pinaniniwalaang mga dating kasamahang New People’s Army o NPA ang pumatay sa mag-asawang dating kasapi ng kilusan ng pasukin ng mga suspek ang kanilang bahay at pinagbabaril sa Purok 7 sa Barangay Sinkatulan sa bayan ng Makilala, North Cotabato.

Kinilala ang mga biktima na sina Felix Mancao Abaniel, 52, at  misis nitong si Teresita Cayanong Abaniel, 51, at kapwa residente ng nasabing lugar.

Ayon kay Chief Inspector Johnny Rick Felongco Medel, hepe ng Makilala PNP, nangyari ang pamamaril alas-10:30 ng gabi, Miyerkules ng puwersahang pasukin ng anim na mga armadong kalalakihan ang bahay ng mga biktima. Ang mga suspek ay may takip sa mukha.

Niratrat ng mga ito ang mag-asawa na nagtamo ng tama ng bala sa ulo at maramingbahagi ng kanilang katawan na naging sanhi ng agaran nilang kamatayan. Narekober sa pinangyarihan ng insidente ang maraming bala ng kalibre .45 na pistola at M16 armalite rifle.

Malaki ang paniniwala ng pulisiya na paghihiganti ng mga dating kasamahan sa kilusan ang dahilan ng pag-paslang sa mag-asawa dahil dating kasapi ng NPA ang mga ito. Gayunpaman, nagsasagawa nang malalimang imbestigasiyon ang pulisya. (Rhoderick Beñez)
