Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts holds careers convention

MANILA – The Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts will be hosting the Cruise and Hospitality Careers Convention on Saturday at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

More than 2,500 professionals and delegates from major colleges and universities all over the country—senior students and faculty members—are expected to participate.

Considered a milestone in the Philippine hospitality industry, the convention will bring together the world’s major cruise and hotel operators and young Filipino talents aspiring for a career in the global cruise and hotel industries.

The event will highlight discussions on career opportunities in cruise ships and hotels, as well as the promotion of the Philippines as a major tourist destination.

This activity also gathers industry and government leaders as guests of honor and speakers, including Hans Leo Cacdac, Administrator of Philippine Overseas Employment Administration; Arturo Boncato, Jr., Assistant Secretary of Department of Tourism; Christian Weindorf, Manager, Fleet Talent Acquisition of Princess Cruises; Christine Schiftner, Director, HR Hotel Management and Fleet Services, Costa Crociere S.p.A; Andrea Tonini, Head of Asia Shipboard Hotel Training, Costa Crociere S.p.A.; Walter Kuhnert, Training Manager Asia, AIDA Cruises; Ian Hyndman, Managing Director, Gosaibi Foods Company; Susana Salcedo, Residence Manager, Citadines Salcedo Makati; Elpidio Beloso Jr., Director for Hotel Operations, Resorts World Manila; Mark Heywood, General Manager, New World Manila Bay Hotel; Randal Linhart, Resident Manager, New World Makati Hotel and Marlon R. Roño, President, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation.
