Man dies in Zamboanga motel during sex

Desk Editor November 16, 2015

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police said a 60-year old man died after suffering a massive heart attack in a motel in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.

Police said the victim – a former soldier – checked in with a woman at Bull’s Eye motel on Sunday afternoon and was discovered dead three hours later by a room boy Danny Calunod.

Calunod told investigators that he saw the woman hurriedly left the motel and took a tricycle. He said he saw the man – a native of Basilan province – and phoned an ambulance and the police to report the incident, according to Chief Inspector Rogelio Alabata, the regional police spokesman.

“The room boy checked the room of the victim and saw the victim apparently lifeless and he immediately informed the in-charge of said motel regarding the incident,” Alabata said. “The victim was rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center for immediate medical attention. However, he was declared death on arrival by the attending physician.”

The identity of the woman is still unknown, but the room boy said she was between 30-35 years old.

Police said the man’s daughter, who was notified of the death of her father, told investigators that “her father suffered heart disease (sic) and was drinking medicine for maintenance of his heart condition.”

In February last year, another 60-year old grandfather also died after suffering from a heart attack in a motel in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte. The victim checked in at the motel with a young woman, who was later identified as a married salon employee in Dipolog City.

The naked body of the man was discovered after two hours later after the woman rushed out of the motel room. Two pink tablets, believed to be a sex drug, were found near the man’s body, according to the police.

Police traced the woman’s employer who told investigators that she went back to the beauty salon weeping, saying she had a terrible headache and then went straight home.

Police recovered the dead man’s cell phone found in the salon’s stockroom. The victim’s granddaughter said the phone belonged to the man. A post-mortem examination showed that the man died from heart attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
