
BASILAN (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 7, 2013) – Police authorities in southern Philippines have arrested a man who killed 5 people and stole P13 million in gold during a robbery 10 years ago in the northern Philippine province of Benguet, officials said Thursday.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said Agustin Quimang was arrested in Isabela City in Basilan province by policemen and soldiers after authorities tracked down his hideout.
He said Quimang, who is one of the most wanted men in the Cordillera region, is charged with rob
bery and killing 5 people in Lepanto Mining company in Benguet in 2003.
“The subject person has a standing warrant of arrest in criminal case number 308-cr-2k5 signed by Judge Agapito Laoagan,Jr and considered as one of the most wanted person in Cordillera,” he said. (Mindanao Examiner)
