PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 28, 2014) – A man accused of mauling a civilian was himself shot and killed by an unidentified assailant outside a bar in Pagadian City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, police said.
Police said Dodo Pidros was sitting outside Rica Videoke Bar along Dablo Street at Purok Bagong Silang in Santa Lucia District when the gunman arrived and without warning shot him twice in the head with a .45-caliber pistol.
Pidros was killed instantly in the attack. The assailant fled after the shooting.
Police said Pidros was reportedly involved in a mauling incident two weeks ago in front of Gate 9 of the Agora Complex in downtown Pagadian. Pidros allegedly mauled a man in a fit of jealousy.
Authorities were investigating if the incident was connected to the shooting. (Mindanao Examiner)
