PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 13, 2013) – An unidentified man was killed in a grenade explosion in Pagadian City in the southern Philippines, police said Sunday.
It said powerful blast early Saturday morning mutilated the body of the man. Local villagers said the victim was not a native of the area and only wearing a pair of old denim pants.
It was not immediately known whether the explosion was accidental or if the man killed himself.
Police said a safety pin from the hand grenade was recovered in the area. (Mindanao Examiner)
