DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 21, 2013) – Police said gunmen riding tandem on a motorcycle shot dead one person and wounded a boy in an attack in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte province in southern Philippines.
The slain man was identified as Rhonel Regencia, 37, who was shot several times outside the Umo Internet Café along General Luna Street. One bullet also hit 11-year old Lawrence Gabriel Alferez.
Police said the Regencia was just standing outside the shop when the gunmen arrived and without a warning shot the man and then fled. The motive of the killing is unknown.
The wounded boy was rushed to hospital. (Mindanao Examiner)
