ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 31, 2014) – A man has killed her partner in a fit rage following a heated argument in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said the woman, Susan Kayanong, 38, died from head injuries after her partner Edward Araneta, 34, banged her head on the door of their house in Labuan village.
Araneta confronted the victim over a gossip that she was having an affair with another man.
At the height of the argument, the woman fearing that she would be physically harmed by her partner, sought help from the neighborhood. One man rushed to the house which further infuriated Kayanong’s partner who suddenly banged the victim’s head.
Neighbors rushed the woman to the hospital, but she died along the way. Police said Araneta has been detained and would be charged for the death of Kayanong. (Mindanao Examiner)
