
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 8, 2014) – Police were searching for a lone gunman who shot and seriously wounded another man in the town of Labangan in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, officials said Tuesday.
Officials said the assailant attacked 32-year old Roman Sela in Tukuran town. Sela, who works abroad, was shot in chest by the masked gunman who fled after the attack.
Sela was on a motorcycle and heading home when ambushed by the gunman. The motive of the June 7 shooting was unknown.
Officials said Sela was rushed to hospital. Police said it launched an investigation into the attack. No individual claimed responsibility for the shooting, whose motive remains unknown. (Mindanao Examiner)
