PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 22, 2014) – A 40-year old man was shot and seriously wounded by a lone assailant in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said Sunday.
Police said Wilbert Guinea was watching television with his family when the gunman barged in the house and shot the victim in the head. The attacker fled after the shooting leaving behind the bloodied Guinea, who was rushed by his family to the hospital.
The motive of the attack is still unknown, but police said Guinea was shot once with a .45-caliber pistol. The bullet exited his neck and lodged in his shoulder, police said.
The victim’s family said the attacker was using a red bull cap and red t-shirt and a pair of short pants. No individual claimed responsibility for the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
