ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 17, 2013) – Police arrested a 31-year old man who attacked and stabbed his own partner following a heated argument in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, officials said Tuesday.
Officials said the 26-year old woman was hospitalized due knife wounds inflicted by Jeffrey Briones inside the house in the village of Mangusu.
The woman was stabbed in the back and rushed by neighbors to the hospital.
Policemen who were informed about the stabbing rushed to the village and arrested Briones. It was not immediately known whether the woman or her family would file criminal charges against Briones. (Mindanao Examiner)
