
BASILAN PROVINCE (Mindanao Examiner / Aug. 11, 2013) – One person was wounded in a grenade attack in the southern Philippine province of Basilan, police said Sunday.
Police said the 26-year old Almer Ho was wounded in the explosion after an unidentified man lobbed a grenade at the house of his brother-in-law Jahaili Usman in Timpul village in Isabela City.
Ho was having dinner late Saturday when the attack occurred. The victim was rushed to hospital by neighbors.
Police investigators said they recovered the grenade’s safety lever, but the motive of the attack is still unknown.
