A 7.7 magnitude earthquake has struck in northern Pakistan and was felt in a large area from Afghanistan to northern India.
Kamal Hyder, reporting from the Pakistani Islamabad, said Monday’s quake forced people out of their homes.
“It is too early to assess possible damage or casualties. The earthquake was felt over a large area.
“Here in Islamabad, we were forced to leave our building and the tremors were also felt in Peshawar and elsewhere, as far as India and Afghanistan.”
“The tremors continued for 30 to 40 seconds, which is alarming” our correspondent said.(Aljazeera)
