Editor December 7, 2011

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 7, 2011) – A medicine salesman was shot dead on Wednesday in the southern Philippine port city of Zamboanga, police said.
It said Pilardo Aguilar, who was shot in the head, was killed while selling medicines in the village of Talon-Talon.
Aguilar was rushed to hospital, but died along the way. No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack which occurred in the morning.
“We still do not know the motive of the killing. There is an ongoing investigation,” said Senior Superintendent Alberto Larubis, police station commander.
Police said no witnesses have come forward to help resolve the latest killing in the village which had been in the past scene of gun attacks blamed to clan war or family feud.
Many gun attacks in Zamboanga Cityhad been largely blamed to hired killers. (MindanaoExaminer)
