Mga bayan sa North Cotabato, natukoy na walang maayos na palikuran –ayon sa IPHO Head

KIDAPAWAN CITY — Patuloy na isinusulong ngayon ng Provincial Government ng North Cotabato sa pamamagitan ng Integrated Provincial Health Office o IPHO katuwang ang mga Non-Government Organization na magkaroon ng maayos na palikuran ang bawat residente ng lalawigan.

Ito ang hamon ni IPHO Head Dra. Eva Rabaya sa bawat LGU at mga dumalo sa isinagawang Provincial Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Investment forum na ginanap sa JC Complex, Kidapawan City, kahapon (Martes) ng umaga.

Bagaman at mataas ang accomplishment ng probinsiya sa ‘access to safe water’ na umabot sa 95%, aminado naman si Rabaya na mababa ang accomplishment ng North Cotabato sa ‘access to sanitary toilet’ o walang maayos na palikuran.

Ito ay kung pagbabatayan ang Sustainable Development Goal o SDG na dapat ay maabot ang 93%, pero ang sampung mga lugar sa probinsiya ay hindi umabot sa 79%.

Kabilang sa mga lugar na mababa ang ‘access to sanitary toilet’ ay ang bayan ng Aleosan, Banisilan, Carmen, Kabacan, Magpet, Makilala, Matalam, Mlang at Pigcawayan.

Pero natukoy naman na Zero Open Defecation o ZOD ang tatlong bayan sa lalawigan: ang Pres. Roxas, Arakan at Antipas.
