COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 4, 2012) – The deputy chairman of the Muslim rebel group Moro Islamic Liberation Front had died after suffering a massive stroke in the southern Philippines, a senior MILF leader said Friday.
He said Alim Abdul-Aziz Mimbantas, 60, died late Thursday inside a rebel base in Lanao del Sur, one of the provinces under the Muslim autonomous region.
The revered leader was the MILF’s vice chairman for military affairs.
