Mindanao, handa na kay ‘Onyok’

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Nasa mataas na alerto ngayon ang pulisya at militar sa paghagupit ng bagyong Onyok na inaasahan magdadala ng pagbaha sa ibat-ibang lugar sa rehiyon.

Maging ang mga local government units ay pinagiibayo na rin ang kanilang paghahanda sa anumang kalamidad na dala ni Onyok. Sa Caraga at northern Mindanao regions ay kanselado na ang paglalayag ng mga barko at daan-daan naman ang stranded sa mga pier dahil sa naging kautusan ng Coast Guard. At gayun rin sa eastern at western Mindanao.

Isinailalim na rin sa storm Signal 1 ang mga sumusunod na lalawigan dahil sa bagyo – Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Province, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur at Misamis Occidental.

Sa Zamboanga City ay ipinag-utos na ni Mayor Beng Climaco sa mga residenteng naninirahan sa tabing-dagat at ilog na mag-ingat at lumikas agad kung sakaling tumaas ang tubig.

“People residing along riverbanks, low-lying as well as coastal areas are advised anew to take precautionary measures, as Zamboanga City and some parts of Zamboanga Peninsula will experience light to moderate rains due to tropical depression Onyok and keep safe,” ani Climaco. (Mindanao Examiner)
