
ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 26, 2013) – Police arrested one of the most wanted men in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay following a long intelligence operation in Talusan town.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said police forces led by Senior Inspector Danilo Jore Pailden arrested Paraja Atasan, 35, at Sitio Tinagu.
He said Atasan is a member of the lawless group under Itting Abbas tagged as behind the series of robbery and extortion in the town.
“Paraja Atasan is the number 2 top most wanted person in the municipal level and member of the lawless group under Itting Abbas Group involved in extortion activities in island municipalities of Talusan,” Huesca said.
Regional police chief Juanito Vano praised the local police force for the arrest of Atasan. (Mindanao Examiner)
