PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 20, 2014) – A head on collision between a truck and a motorcycle had killed one person in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, police said on Friday.
Police said the 47-year old motorcycle driver Rey Salusod was killed instantly in the accident which occurred in the village of Sudlon in Molave town.
The truck driver, Dario Tijada, surrendered to the police. It was not immediately known whether Salusod’s family would file criminal charges against Tijada or agree to an extrajudicial settlement.
Police said both vehicles came from the opposite side of the road when the accident occurred. (Mindanao Examiner)
