
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 20, 2012) – Pinaalalahanan ngayon ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos ang mga travel agencies at airline companies na anumang discounts sa pamasahe ng mga Muslim pilgrims na magtutungo sa Saudi Arabia at dapat maibigay sa mga ito at hindi sa tanggapan.
Niliwanag ni NCMF Secy. Mehol Sadain na mahigpit ang patakaran nito at hindi tumatanggap ng anumang pera o komisyon sa mga Hajj pilgrims magtutungo sa Makka at Medina para sa kanilang taunang panata.
“The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos will not receive any share from the pilgrims’ money that are paid to you. The hard-earned money of the pilgrims paid for tickets to and from Makka and Madina for the Haj pilgrimage is theirs.”
“If the travel agencies and airline companies want to give discounts, these discounts should go to the pilgrims and benefit them, because that is what is right and legal. The Office of the Secretary, NCMF will appreciate reports that violate this policy,” ani Sadain.
Si Sadain, na isang abogado at dating elections commissioner, ay itinalaga ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino bilang NCMF Secretary nuong nakaraang buwan lamang, at siya rin ang tumatayong “amirul hajj” o pinuno ng Philippine Hajj Mission ngayon taon. (Mindanao Examiner)
