THE LOCAL government has opened to the public the newly-rehabilitated market building in downtown Zamboanga as part of Mayor Beng Climaco’s continued infrastructure programs and projects.
Climaco was joined by Vice Mayor Rommel Agan in the opening ceremony of the main public market building which houses the fish and dry sections.

There were also new stalls for vendors. “The projects were undertaken by private contractors under the supervision of the City Engineer’s Office,” Climaco said, adding, two rest rooms are also up for construction as part of the rehabilitation project.
The mayor also called on tenants and vendors, including market-goers, to strictly observe cleanliness. “Necesita observa el limpieza y bota con el maga basura na garbage bins y mantene quita el limpiesa,” she said.
Market tenants thanked Climaco for the rehabilitation of the market building and vowed to support the local government’s cleanliness campaign. (Zamboanga Post)
