PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 10, 2012) – Philippine authorities said a Filipina heading back home after running away from her employer was found dead and hanging inside a center for overseas Filipino workers in Malaysia.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration said the Filipina, a native of central Philippines, had previously attempted to take her own life, but was prevented.
Officials did not reveal the identity of the woman, but said she was single parent and had a child in the Philippines.
No other details were made available by the OWWA, saying it is communicating with the woman’s family about the tragedy. (Mindanao Examiner)
