A FILIPINO WORKING in Saudi Arabia was killed by a security guard in Jeddah after he fatally stabbed his Arab employer and a Pakistani and wounded several more, but details of the incident were unclear.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed the report which occurred last week on Farasan Island, some 50 kilometers offs the southern city of Jizan. The DFA did not release the identity of the slain Filipino because it is yet to inform his family back home of the tragedy.
Consul General Edgar Badajos said based on initial reports, the Filipino allegedly first stabbed the Pakistani after an argument, then went on to attack his Saudi boss and several other co-workers when they tried to intervene.
Badajos said the firm’s security personnel who is subcontractor of the Saudi Electric Company, immediately responded to the scene and shot the Filipino. (Mindanao Examiner)
