MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 6, 2012) – A group of Filipino household service workers in Qatar on Saturday founded an organization called ‘Ang Kapatiran ng Migranteng Kababaihan sa Qatar’ under the banner of Migrante International.
John Leonard Monterona, regional coordinator of Migrante Middle-East, said: “The newly formed group vowed to advance the rights and welfare of Filipino domestic workers in Qatar and in campaigning for the implementation of the International Labor Organization’s Convention on Domestic Workers.”
